Today’s Training for Tomorrow’s Leaders

Home

Our Mission.

To provide an unsurpassed financial literacy and entrepreneurial-focused educational experience with the goal of empowering youth.

How We Achieve Our Mission.

The Advancement Academy’s flagship program, California Business Venture (CBV) gives eligible high school students from around the state a unique, hands-on business and entrepreneurship experiences.

Students learn directly from business leaders how to establish and run their own company.  Hosted on a college campus, students are also introduced to campus life as they begin to lay the foundation into their academic and professional careers.

Topics We Cover.

Concepts students discover include elements of team work, leadership, and the real-life business world.  Students are immersed in discussions, decision-making exercises, presentations, computer simulations, and company development from the ground up.

Stand up.  Stand out.

Becoming a leader is no longer just earning the highest grades or being the most involved student.  The Advancement Academy believes that empowering youth begins with asking questions and sharing information to teach each other.

If you are a CBV graduate who has started your own Business, please contact us so that we may feature your Business Venture on both our website and in our Newsletter.

A Special Thank You

Finishing our 3rd year with the CBV program, we want to thank all our partnerships, volunteers, students, and of course Cal State San Marcos for providing a great venue for the California Business Venture 2009, 2010, & 2011.
